It’s our 1st blog post of 2018!! Hope everyone had a brilliant Christmas and New Year.
As is typical for January, removals have slowed down a little but you should have still seen our vans out and about!!
The New Year kicked off with us moving the Slaters from Sheffield to Matlock; due to the customer informing us of potential access issues we went to assess both properties. The property they were moving from was a gorgeous cottage in S6 which had lots of outbuildings and garden items including a heavy stone trough. It was a good thing we did go and check the new house in Matlock as it was up a narrow lane with a sharp bend on to the drive. We had to tranship the customers belongings from the larger van to a smaller one. Although this removal had a few more challenges than your standard removal we were able to get the Slaters in as planned.
Mr Slater was so impressed with our work he contacted us a few days later to schedule us to carry out some removals from his work premises within Sheffield.
Thursday saw us carrying out the packing for Mrs Marples in Bolsover, Chesterfield who we were moving the following day. We were originally only supposed to do a partial packing service but as is sometimes the case there was slightly more work to do! Thankfully we always go prepared so we had additional packing materials on the van. We got all the packing done and everything was ready for us to arrive the next day.
Friday saw us back in Bolsover with Mrs Marples where her removal went without any complications! The same could not be said for Mr Moore. Although the removal team had the van loaded in good time as is sometimes the case we were waiting for 3 hours for everything to complete so we could get the removal finished.
